Design and DocumentationThe design and documentation of an automation project is critical to its success. The first step is to determine the scope of the project and what your expectations are. From this a plan of the system is developed; what parts go where. This is then checked back against the scope. The design drawings are then then finalised with all the individual components detailed so all people involved know has to be done. The people involved included yourself, our staff, builders, electricians, interior decorators, painters, blind suppliers and joiners. When the project is completed the plans are updated so you have a record of exactly what has been installed and how to operate it. We have been operating in this field for over twenty years, with the experience to help you achieve your desires for a system. We are also members of CEDIA; the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association, having completed many of their design courses and have THX certified designers on staff. Project ManagementDuring the construction stage of a project there are many details to attend to. Coordination of all the trades and equipment ordering and delivery is vital to ensuring the project achieves the intended scope. This also has the effect to make the programming and testing phases much easier. |

ProgrammingThe programming phase of an audio visual or automation system gives it soul. It makes your life easier by minimising operations required; one button press on a remote control, rather than ten on four separate remotes. Our programming ability and attention to detail is what separates us from other installers. There are many automation and control projects that have been installed over the years by other installers. Many of these systems have not operated as the owners had expected; costing the owners good money for a bad result. Systems do not perform as expected or are simply unreliable and not operating. Nation Technology has been asked to re-program and re-commission many of these projects. Before starting we talk to the owners to discuss their expectations and needs from the system. We then set to work to re-program and re-commission the system to provide what was desired. This process has been carried out on many residential and commercial premises throughout Tasmania with successful results. If you have a system that you are not happy with, please call us to see what we can do for you. |

Customer SupportTo put it simply, todays audio visual, control and computer systems are complicated. While designing and commissioning system we keep detailed records on what connects to what and how. This means that when you have a question, you can call us and we can diagnose most things over the phone and tell you how to change something, or what a change might mean to the whole system. We are also not perfect, sometimes we make the odd mistake. If something we do is not working as we said it would, simple, call us and we fix it - no charge! |

CalibrationMost audio visual systems are an assembly of components from different manufacturers. While each component may operate correctly on their own, assemble them though a network of cables and put them all together; the end result is a system that works, but rarely works at its best. Calibration is the process verifying that all components are operating correctly, connected correctly and working at its best. With training and certification from the Home Acoustics Alliance (for audio systems) and THX (for video systems) we can make you system operate at its best. |
